Picursa Combat Heavy Duty Fixed Tooth Forestry Mulcher

The Picursa Combat Heavy-Duty Fixed Tooth Forestry Mulcher is built for the toughest forestry and land clearing jobs in New Zealand. With a massive fixed tooth rotor and large mulching chamber, it is designed to work with high horsepower tractors (up to 600HP) and tackle heavy material such as branches, whole trees, tree stumps, and Forestry Slash. Special alloy hammers with carbide teeth tips (fixed carbide teeth) provide excellent wear resistance, making the Combat a cost-effective choice for large-scale, high-demand mulching.

With the positioning of the teeth on the rotor, this Picursa Mulcher produces very fine shredding, leaving an even layer of mulch across the ground. The machine is built around an impact-resistant steel body with a replaceable wear-resistant liner, heavy-duty Hardox forestry skids for height adjustment, and a hinged hood that can be controlled hydraulically.

In practice, the required horsepower depends on the working width chosen and the type of material being mulched but you do neeed a larger frame size tractor to handle the weight and generally you would want 300HP plus. Agriline can advise on matching the right width to your tractor so you get good performance without overloading the machine.

The Picursa Combat Heavy Duty Fixed Tooth Forestry Mulcher is designed for heavy forestry work, including branches, whole trees, tree stumps and general felling debris. The fixed carbide teeth and large rotor are well suited to harder wood and higher volumes where a lighter mulcher may struggle.

Tooth life varies with conditions, but the special alloy and hard metal tips are intended to give a long service life, especially in comparison to standard steel teeth or flails. Checking teeth regularly and replacing them when worn helps maintain performance; Agriline can supply replacement teeth and advice on inspection intervals based on your application.

A pusher bar is useful when you are regularly pushing standing trees or piled material into the rotor, as it improves control and safety. A raker bar is helpful if you want to pull material into the rotor and level mulched material as you go.
