All Vigolo High body mulchers have a flail scroll pattern on them designed to improve the performance of the mulcher.
The Vigolo Flail scroll pattern has a few obvious advantages:
Easier to drive
The scroll pattern makes it so there are less flails cutting at any one time, followed very closely by the next lot coming around. This reduces HP requirement and make the cutting motion smoother. This is in contrast to just having the flails in rows which is harder to drive and not as smooth.
No Flail Clash
On mulcher rotors without a scroll on them the flails can clash and take chunk out of the back on them greatly reducing flail life. The scroll pattern on the Vigolo mulchers ensures that no flails can hit each other.
Easier to change flails
The scroll pattern makes it that there is far bigger spaces beside the flail lugs. This means you can get a decent size rattle gun into almost every flail bolt. There is obviously a couple on the end that you need a spanner (and we can supply a 30mm ratchet ring spanner for this)
