You will often hear us talking about a high back bar or an open back on a mulcher.
What does this mean and what is the advantage in this?
The high back bar on the Vigolo high body mulcher means the bar that braces the back of the mulcher are up above the tailgate leaving the back of the mulcher open.
What does the open back on a mulcher achieve?
This open back has 2 main advantages, firstly the material clears out the back a lot easier making it easier to drive and gives a much more even spread of material out the back It addition to this a back bar down low can get clumps build up on it that always fall off where you least want them
The other main advantage is the ability to take the roller off and back into larger standing material. You can lower the skids and remove the roller to give you a completely unobstructed open back for reversing into larger scrub etc., giving a nice consistent flow into the mulcher.
