Are mulchers hard on your tractor?
This is a frequently asked question, and the short answer is no they are not. But obviously you still have to be careful as an operator and also have the right mulcher.

Double row of front chains.
The double frow of front protection chains is one of the main secrets to protecting the tractor from flying debris. They are full length to the ground for maximum protection. The smart design with the long shelf allows for full length chains without any chance of the flails hitting them. Most other brands of mulcher the chains are mounted too close to the rotor to be full length and also often only run one row. The double row obviously creates a heavier barrier slowing down any projectiles.
Large Rotor.
The large rotor creates a lot of momentum and a flywheel effect. This takes the strain off your drivetrain as the momentum keeps the rotor going not just relying on Horsepower from your tractor.
